Contradictory Sways: Reading and Writing throughHarryette Mullen: A Writing Workshop with Hoa Nguyen
Cyberspace, Toronto Sept. 09 - Dec. 09 *

While Mullen may be associated with a Modernist pull, I prefer to think of her style as rich and captivating in contradictory sways. Profuse minimalism. Lean baroque.
— Maryam Monalisa Gharavi

The writing portion takes the form of starting points & prompts drawn from the poems as well as those of my own design.Weekly written materials include introductory and contextualizing commentary, supplemental materials, and inventive writing prompts.Workshops for virtual students culminate with a one-to-one 25-minute consultation with me.
