Skanky Possum Presents Burdick and Boughn, Saturday April 19
We hope you can join us for a poetry reading at Casa Nguyen-Smith where our guest poets will be Alice Burdick and Michael Boughn.There will be food, poets, fun, and books for sale. It's a reading and a party. Please bring friends, your favorite beverage, and money to buy books.The gathering begins at 7 PM. Reading starts at 8:20 PM sharp.
About the poets: Alice Burdick lives in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. Born and raised in Toronto, she has also lived in Halifax, Espanola, Vancouver, and on the Sechelt Peninsula. In the early 1990s, she was co-editor of The Eternal Network, and assistant coordinator of the Toronto Small Press Fair. She is the author of many chapbooks and three full-length poetry collections, Simple Master (Pedlar Press, 2002), Flutter (Mansfield Press, 2008), and most recently, Holler (Mansfield Press, 2012). Michael Boughn is the author of H.D.: A Bibliography 1905 - 1990 and co-editor (with Victor Coleman) of Robert Duncan's The H.D. Book, as well as being editor of Narthex and other stories by H.D.. He has published numerous books of poetry including Dislocations in Crystal, 22 Skidoo / Subtractions, and Great Canadian Poems for the Aged Vol.1 Illus. Ed. . Cosmographia - A Post-Lucretian Faux Micro-Epic was a GG Loser in 2011. City Book 1 is forthcoming from BookThug in the fall.
